Dencar Technology has launched the Revive Series, a retrofit pay station designed specifically for car wash operators with outdated, bricked-in kiosk installations. Instead of tearing out masonry, rebuilding islands, and enduring extended downtime, operators can remove the legacy unit and slide the Revive Series into its place.

For many wash operators, older pay stations were originally built into brick or masonry islands for security and cash-handling needs. The challenge today is that replacing those aging units can become far more expensive than the new equipment itself once demolition, reconstruction, and site disruption are factored in.

Those added costs can also put other important upgrades out of reach, including Dencar’s fast-activation membership platform and patent-pending VIA Guard fraud mitigation protection. The Revive Series was developed to solve that problem with a faster, cleaner upgrade path.

Built on the same technology platform as Dencar’s ECO13 pay station, the Revive Series brings modern payment capability to legacy kiosk footprints. The unit features either a 10- or 13-inch high-definition screen, accepts credit cards and mobile wallets, recycles cash, and incorporates a more open internal layout for easier serviceability, strong security, and better temperature regulation.

To simplify installation, Dencar engineered the Revive Series to be slightly smaller than popular legacy models, making it possible in most cases to slide out the outdated unit and slide the new one into the existing space. One recent customer conversion was completed in 3.5 hours.

The result is a practical modernization path for operators who want to update the customer experience without the cost and inconvenience of ripping out a bricked-in installation. Customers gain a contemporary payment interface and broader payment options, while operators gain a unit designed around easier maintenance and standardized Dencar components.

Revive Series units are currently available for Hamilton ACW/Goldline and Unitec Wash Select 2 applications, with versions for Exacta and Standard Changer units in development. Cashless Revive configurations are also available at significantly lower prices for operators ready to eliminate cash handling altogether.

The Revive Series allows operators to seamlessly upgrade bricked-in units.
