The Northeast Regional Carwash Convention (NRCC) returns to the Atlantic City Convention Center for its 2018 event, and The Borgata is again the designatedheadquarter hotel. Car Wash Operators of New Jersey is the host this year; the other participating associations are the Connecticut Carwash Association, the Mid-Atlantic Carwash Association, the New York State Car Wash Association, and the New England Carwash Association. The event runs from Monday, October 1 through Wednesday, October 3.
The educational program gets started on Monday afternoon with a virtual car wash tour — a feature first introduced at last year’s convention. This year’s presentation will include a return visit to the sites “toured” last year to see what changes have been made over the previous 12 months.
Tuesday morning is filled with educational opportunities, starting with the ever-popular Early Bird Panel Discussion during which seasoned operators will answer any and all car wash related questions.
The Awards Luncheon on Tuesday is preceded by the keynote address. The speaker is Jay Rifenbary, a renowned corporate speaker, trainer, author, and consultant. Rifenbary has for over 25 years provided his expertise in the areas of personal and professional development, leadership, and communication training to organizations, associations, and schools across North America, Europe, and Asia. He received his Bachelor of Science degree from the United States Military Academy at West Point, with a concentration in nuclear physics. From being a former qualified Airborne/Ranger, military commander, sales professional, corporate manager, and entrepreneur, Rifenbary brings a unique background of interpersonal skills and business experience to each of his training and speaking engagements. His presentation is titled, “No Excuses!”
Paul Fazio, CEO of Sonny’s Enterprises Inc., will present the final seminar of the convention. He will offer his insights on the “State of the Industry” — where the industry finds itself and where it is heading.
