On August 23, Seattle-based Brown Bear Car Wash celebrated its 55th anniversary by providing 27,125 free "Bear Essential" car washes to its customers over a 12-hour period at 21 tunnel locations. The company has washed a total of 159,288 cars for free during its annual "free car wash day" over the past seven years.
"As always, the pace was fast and furious and it's a tribute to our team that we were able to serve so many customers," said Brown Bear founder and owner Vic Odermat. "It's our way of saying thank you to the communities we serve, and hopefully we introduced new customers to the kind of service and value we deliver year round."
Odermat started Brown Bear in Seattle in 1957 with one location at 15th Ave. West. Brown Bear now owns and operates car washes throughout the Puget Sound area and Spokane. |
