The Automotive Oil Change Association (AOCA) has announced the selection of Meredith Young as its permanent executive director. Young is employed by the association management company, SmithBucklin, the firm retained by AOCA in October 2012 to manage its day-to-day operations.
Prior to joining SmithBucklin in October 2006, Young served as the manager of operations for City Gate Inc., a non-profit organization that provides after-school activities for underserved youth throughout Washington, D.C. She currently serves on its board of directors. Young holds a Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communications, with a concentration in Public Relations, from Louisiana State University.
