West Palm Beach, FL-based Istobal USA ( has announced the appointment of Lenny Cavalier as Northeast regional manager.

Telco Sensors Inc. ( of Charlotte, NC has announced the appointment of Mario Sabatini, a 12-year company veteran in the Canadian market, as its national sales manager for Telco Canada. Telco Sensors will no longer sell through a master distributor (agent) in Canada. Telco Canada is now a division of Telco Sensors, which has distributors throughout all of Canada for local stock and service.


Charlotte, NC-based Autobell Car Wash Inc. recently awarded 114 employees its 2010 academic scholarships toward the college or university of their choice. This year’s awards total over $75,000. Since its inception, the Autobell Scholarship Program has awarded over $316,000 in academic funds to employees.

Scholarships are awarded annually. The program is open to current Autobell employees who are graduating high school seniors or have received a high school diploma. Along with a completed application, candidates must submit references, an acceptance letter from an accredited college or university, and a 500-word essay. The Autobell Selection Committee reviews all applications and chooses the scholarship recipients.

Pamela Piro, president and CEO of Elkridge, MD-based Unitec Electronics (, has received a Baltimore SmartCEO 2010 Brava! Women Business Achievement Award, which recognizes 25 female CEOs making unprecedented strides in business and building a stronger community.

The award recipients will join past honorees to form the Brava 100 — an elite group of the first 100 female entrepreneurs recognized in the program. The awards event was held July 23 at the American Visionary Art Museum in Baltimore. The program serves as an extension of SmartCEO’s mission to educate, motivate, and inspire decision makers.

Sun Country and PDQ are renewing their partnership that had previously been established in the 1990s.

Kim Supply ( of Kansas City, MO has announced the acquisition of Carver’s Service of Grandview, MO. Kim Supply is a national car wash equipment and supply wholesaler/manufacturer with 50 years of experience. Carver’s Service, a car wash equipment and soap supplier has served the Kansas City area since 2003.


The Utah-based NASCAR Car Wash Company (NCW), which plans to develop NASCAR-themed car washes, has entered into a preferred provider agreement with MacNeil Wash Systems of Ontario, Canada. In terms of the agreement, NCW and MacNeil will design and equip existing and new car wash operations under the NASCAR brand. NCW expects the first locations to open in early 2011.
