Dosmatic U.S.A./International Inc.'s Advantage A30 unit has been incorporated into a home fire fighting system called the HomeCAFS (Home Compressed Air Foam System), which was used to help local firefighters control the wildfires that were destroying homes in the San Diego area. Powered by 330 cubic-feet compressed-nitrogen tanks, it uses water from the home's swimming pool. At the heart of the system, the Advantage A30 unit mixes Class "A" foam concentrate with the pool water in a 1-percent solution. Exhaust nitrogen from a pump by the Innofoam is then introduced to the solution, generating a high-quality fire-fighting foam that is delivered via a standard fire hose and nozzle.

One local firefighter used the unit to blanket the area around his own house before evacuating the area. Upon returning two days later, he found his house still intact.
